Free Guide to Stress Relief from Harvard Medical School
Between your job, the struggling economy, difficult relationships, and the holidays, you may be feeling very stressed right now. Stress can significantly impact your health by weakening your immune system, which can lead to illness.
The Harvard Medical School has put out a free guide to coping with stress: Your Portable Guide to Stress Relief.
In the guide, the 10 most common reasons for stress are discussed, as are ways to cope with them. These include loneliness, time restraints, conflicts with other people, and having too much on your plate.
The guide also provides exercises you can do for mini-relaxation routines. The guide suggests exercises if you have one minute, two minutes, three minutes, five minutes, or ten minutes of time you can spare.
Additionally, the guide provides steps for using meditation on the go, gratitude journaling, how to battle cognitive distortions or negative thinking, and how to make and utilize a worry box.
This guide is free to download. You can download the guide at Harvard Health Publications..
